Gwen Baxter has just been turned by her vampire lover, Reynaldo Alcantara, unbeknownst to them his having bitten her can cost her her life. There’s an adverse reaction attacking her cell composition that is slowly seeping the life out of her. Reynaldo panics and pays Master Elijah Thorton a visit to see what he can do to awaken Gwen. He knows things have gone beyond his abilities and he seeks help from an elder vampire.
Master Thorton explains that Reynaldo must have Gwen reach pinnacle after pinnacle of pleasure and that should bring about the chemical reaction she needs to complete her shift thus awakening from her deep sleep. When he comes to visit her, there he detects the real reason for Gwen’s stasis state. With Reynaldo’s acceptance, the three must share blood in order for Gwen to survive.
